Tripoli (Libya) accommodation

We recommend staying at the Zumit Hotel when visiting Tripoli. The building housing the hotel was built in 1816 and is located in the heart of the medina (old town), next to the famous Marcus Aurelius Arch. With its colourful traditional decoration the hotel resembles the feel of a riad in Morocco. The windows are not made of glass, therefore offering no soundproofing for noise coming from outside. This tends to be a bit annoying, especially with the surrounding mosques and the souk right next to the hotel. Try the Al Atha restaurant opposite the hotel.
