flydubai commences thrice-weekly flights from Dubai to Lucknow (on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays). "India represents an important market for flydubai and we are delighted that the cooperation between flydubai and the Indian authorities has resulted in the opportunity for Dubai's first low cost airline to bring our service to Lucknow. An estimated five million Indian expatriates live and work in Gulf, with around one million in the UAE alone. This represents a huge number of people who need to travel between our two nations and we look forward to complementing the services offered by the existing carriers on the Dubai-India routes" said Ghaith Al Ghaith, the Chief Executive of flydubai. “It was important to have more air connectivity between UAE and India which are big trade partners. This would help businessmen explore more trading opportunities and help in the growth of both economies”. said Mohamed Sultan Al Owais, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to India. |

Air-India Express launches 3 weekly flights from Dubai to Lucknow. "Air traffic in Delhi and Mumbai has become very congested, while passengers from small, tier-II and III cities are growing at a huge pace, most of whom go to the Middle East to earn a living. It is to tap this budding segment that we are introducing new flights from smaller cities directly. The demand to connect Lucknow to Dubai was a long standing one, so we decided to extend the Delhi-Dubai flight to Lucknow, which will cost Rs 3900, cheaper than the legacy airlines. We will be launching non-stop flights between Delhi and New York from February next year, apart from offering direct flights from Kolkata to Dhaka, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. " said Air India Express's passenger sales manager (Northern India), Anil SLucknowrwal. |
Lucknow has a warm humid subtropical climate with cool, dry winters and dry, hot summers. Annual average temperatures range from 8°C to 40°C.
