9 June 2010. Abraxa described the trip from Dubai to Cairo, as a reasonably short trip. The flight maps were not working on their displays so they were guessing where they were and at this point they assumed they were just over Sinai.
23 June 2010. Daniel described the Emirates flight from Sydney to Dubai to Cairo as a great, and they were allowed to fill in the few hours between the flights very well. They flew from Dubai to Cairo aboard an Emirates B777-300ER and they arrived in Cairo in the late morning.

Cairo has a very hot summer between May and October, and a mild winter from November to April. Cairo is very dry, receiving on average only about a centimetre of rain a year, but it does have high humidity levels in summer. The city occasionally experiences dust storms brought by the sirocco hot winds that are characteristic of Egypt's climate in the month of April.
